A pesquisa baseou-se, conceitualmente, em discuss\u00f5es sobre espa\u00e7o p\u00fablico, tipos e fun\u00e7\u00f5es de pra\u00e7as, experi\u00eancia tur\u00edstica e tra\u00e7ado urbano de Mariana. Como premissa metodol\u00f3gica, trata-se de um estudo explorat\u00f3rio e descritivo, de cunho qualitativo, que utiliza revis\u00e3o cr\u00edtica de literatura e netnografia, a partir de imagens fotogr\u00e1ficas e avalia\u00e7\u00f5es das pra\u00e7as da S\u00e9, Gomes Freire e Minas\nGerais compartilhadas no website TripAdvisor1. Desta forma, a pesquisa avalia percep\u00e7\u00f5es e representa\u00e7\u00f5es de turistas acerca dos espa\u00e7os sob investiga\u00e7\u00e3o, cotejando-as com o levantamento hist\u00f3rico-geogr\u00e1fico sobre o urbanismo setecentista de Mariana. Os resultados indicam que as pra\u00e7as estudadas s\u00e3o representativas para a hist\u00f3ria do Brasil, particularmente de Minas Gerais, e para a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de pr\u00e1ticas tur\u00edsticas memor\u00e1veis. A conserva\u00e7\u00e3o e gest\u00e3o eficiente destes espa\u00e7os s\u00e3o, portanto, fundamentais para a mem\u00f3ria aut\u00f3ctone e a\nsustentabilidade da atividade
