O artigo objetiva apresentar e discutir os desdobramentos das atividades do Museu da Inconfid\u00eancia de forma interdisciplinar, em uma an\u00e1lise contempor\u00e2nea flu\u00edda com o passado que o concebeu como patrim\u00f4nio cultural brasileiro. A metodologia utilizada baseia-se na an\u00e1lise documental coletada nos arquivos administrativos da Institui\u00e7\u00e3o e em um referencial te\u00f3rico condizente com os pressupostos interdisciplinares do presente trabalho. Identificaram-se a\u00e7\u00f5es controversas neste Museu quanto \u00e0 comunica\u00e7\u00e3o do acervo para a difus\u00e3o do patrim\u00f4nio com o p\u00fablico. Conclui-se que, neste caso, os desafios situam-se na inclus\u00e3o leg\u00edtima da comunidade de Ouro Preto e na frui\u00e7\u00e3o produtiva dos turistas enquanto h\u00f3spedes-interpretes. Esta tarefa poderia ser concretizada por meio de uma pol\u00edtica de hospitalidade museal vinculada \u00e0s pr\u00e1ticas e representa\u00e7\u00f5es do patrim\u00f4nio cultural em sentido
