O principal objetivo foi identificar de que forma as principais fontes de informa\u00e7\u00e3o da atividade tur\u00edstica em Minas Gerais s\u00e3o utilizadas para gerar informa\u00e7\u00f5es estrat\u00e9gicas que facilitem o planejamento das pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas do setor.Para a an\u00e1lise do trabalho, foram consultadas refer\u00eancias bibliogr\u00e1ficas sobre o tema, al\u00e9m de uma coleta de dados estat\u00edsticos sobre o turismo, uma an\u00e1lise das principais fontes de informa\u00e7\u00e3o levantadas e monitoradas pela institui\u00e7\u00e3o e a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de uma pesquisa com os servidores da SETUR-MG. Os resultados mostraram que grande parte das fontes de informa\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o focadas em dados estat\u00edsticos e diagn\u00f3sticos, n\u00e3o preenchendo todas os setores e ambientes da atividade tur\u00edstica no estado. Observou-se tamb\u00e9m que os gestores da SETUR acreditam na import\u00e2ncia da coleta e monitoramento das informa\u00e7\u00f5es para a execu\u00e7\u00e3o das a\u00e7\u00f5es de cada setor da entidade.
